Daniel Leon
Level/Open World Designer
Video Games have been a part of my life for such a long time, I honestly can’t remember a time I wasn’t playing one or enjoying the experience of it all. Playing them is one thing but I knew I wanted to pursue how they were made.
Level Design became the cornerstone of my Game Development learning process @ SMU Guildhall where I learned various design methodologies. Being able to try on and wear many “hats”, I applied myself in new, fun, and creative ways in my solo projects as well as the multiple team projects I contributed to.
When I’m not playing video games, I like to go to music festivals and enjoy the great vibes they offer. My favorite so far has to be Tomorrowland in Brussels, Belgium, and ACL in Austin, TX.
Coffee is my best friend who always takes my money in the mornings and breakfast tacos are my comfort zone wherever I can find them.
My Coffee Order: A large oat milk nitro cold brew with coconut, salted caramel, and cold foam!
Games & stuff I’m enjoying right now:
Destiny 2: The Final Shape
Marvel Rivals (Iron Man main 4 life)
SteamWorld: Heist
Baldur’s Gate 3
Dungeons & Dragons (recently finished a 3-year campaign!)
